Ausgabe der traditionsreichen Zeitschrift präsentiert sich mit einem komplett überarbeiteten Auftritt. Sie dürfen auf ein zeitgemäßes Layout, neue Rubriken und Themen gespannt sein! Durch den Relaunch wird aktuellen Marktentwicklungen im Design Rechnung getragen. So stehen künftig Design-Prozesse im Mittelpunkt des Hefts, die praxisnah und fundiert erläutert werden. Daher der neue Untertitel: „The Making of Design“: Wie genau entsteht ein Entwurf? In welchen Schritten, mit welchen Zielen? Welche analogen und digitalen Werkzeuge werden verwendet? form behandelt nun in jeder Ausgabe ein Titelthema umfassend, das sich den neuesten Tendenzen im europäischen Produkt- und Grafik-Design widmet, wie etwa Modellbau, Papier, Typografie oder Corporate Design. In neuen Rubriken werden zukunftsweisende Produkte aus allen Bereichen des Design vorgestellt. Verstärkt werden sich nun auch Themen zur Inneneinrichtung, zu Materialien und zur digitalen Gestaltung im Heft. Zudem werden Anzeigenkunden neue Formate geboten.

Die form erscheint seit 2002 im Birkhäuser-Verlag und wird weltweit vertrieben. Das neue Layout der Zeitschrift stammt von der Frankfurter Agentur „ade hauser lacour“. Der ebenfalls komplett überarbeitete Online-Auftritt www.form.de entstand in Zusammenarbeit von
„ade hauser lacour“ mit der Agentur „meso“.

What is Magnum Photos?  

Magnum Photos is a photographic co-operative of great diversity and distinction owned by its photographer-members. With powerful individual vision, Magnum photographers chronicle the world and interpret its peoples, events, issues and personalities. The Magnum Photos library is a living archive updated daily with new work from across the globe. The library houses all the work produced by Magnum photographers and some special collections by non-members. The Discipline of Ergonomics

Ergonomics (or human factors) is the scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and the profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design in order to optimize human well-being and overall system performance.

Ergonomists contribute to the design and evaluation of tasks, jobs, products, environments and systems in order to make them compatible with the needs, abilities and limitations of people.

Domains of specialization

Derived from the Greek ergon (work) and nomos (laws) to denote the science of work, ergonomics is a systems-oriented discipline which now extends across all aspects of human activity. Practicing ergonomists must have a broad understanding of the full scope of the discipline. That is, ergonomics promotes a holistic approach in which considerations of physical, cognitive, social, organizational, environmental and other relevant factors are taken into account. Ergonomists often work in particular economic sectors or application domains. Application domains are not mutually exclusive and they evolve constantly; new ones are created and old ones take on new perspectives.

There exist domains of specialization within the discipline, which represent deeper competencies in specific human attributes or characteristics of human interaction.

Domains of specialization within the discipline of ergonomics are broadly the following;

Physical ergonomics is concerned with human anatomical, anthropometric, physiological and biomechanical characteristics as they relate to physical activity. (Relevant topics include working postures, materials handling, repetitive movements, work related musculoskeletal disorders, workplace layout, safety and health.)

Cognitive ergonomics is concerned with mental processes, such as perception, memory, reasoning, and motor response, as they affect interactions among humans and other elements of a system. (Relevant topics include mental workload, decision-making, skilled performance, human-computer interaction, human reliability, work stress and training as these may relate to human-system design.)

Organizational ergonomics is concerned with the optimization of sociotechnical systems, including their organizational structures, policies, and processes.

(Relevant topics include communication, crew resource management, work design, design of working times, teamwork, participatory design, community ergonomics, cooperative work, new work paradigms, virtual organizations, telework, and quality management.)

Was ist eigentlich die Bedeutung von Kultur?

Kultur ist ein System von Annahmen, Werten und Bedeutungen einer bestimmten Gruppe, die ihnen hilft, sich mit den Problemen des täglichen Lebens umzugehen. Mit anderen Worten, Kultur ist "die kollektive Programmierung des Geistes". Ab dem Tag Ihrer Geburt lernen Sie ein kulturelles System. Wenn Sie ein junger Erwachsener sind, ist dieser "Sozialisations"-Prozess so tief in unserem Geist eingebettet, dass wir uns nicht bewusst sind, wie die Macht der Kultur unsere Wahrnehmungen und unser Verhalten beeinflusst.

(Europäer verwechseln oft die obige Definition mit einer anderen, das heißt "Kultur ist die Verbesserung oder Verfeinerung des Geistes, von Gefühlen, Manieren, etc". Es ist genau diese Definition, die benutzt wird, wenn Europäer die stereotypische Aussage sagen, "Die Amerikaner haben überhaupt keine Kultur!")

究竟什么是文化的意义？

文化是一种接纳体系，价值体系，以及具有帮助一定的群体解决经常出现的问题意义的体系。用另外一种话来说，文化是一种共同的“精神代码”。自从你出生就开始学习文化体系，当成长为一个青年人的时候，我们不会意识到，我们的灵魂已经深深的嵌入了的“（心理）社会化”过程。就是文化的力量影响了我们的意识与行为。

（欧洲人经常把这个定义与其他的混淆，这就是说，文化是进步或者是精神的升华，以及是感觉与风俗的等等，当欧洲人普遍的表达说，“美国人根本没有文化”这个定义就被等同的使用了。

Design ist Problemlösung.

Design ist eine Querschnittswissenschaft. Design vermittelt zwischen Nutzer und Objekt, zwischen Kultur und Technik. Was in manchen Fällen als rein ästhetische Maßnahme wahrgenommen wird, ist, wenn erfolgreich, immer die Lösung eines Problems.
Design bietet die Integrationsleistung, neue technische Möglichkeiten durch das Anknüpfen an bekannte Handlungsmuster und Formen in die menschliche Umwelt zu integrieren.

Geschichte

Das industriellle design,so wie wir es heute verstehen,erscheint zum ersten mal Mitte des 19.Jahrhunderts im Zuge der von der industriellen Revolutiion eingefuehrten Arbeitsteilung.Heute ist nicht mehr das individuum verantwortlich fuer den Entwurf und die Ausfuehrung eines Objektes;angesichts der zunehmenden Spazialisierung der Arbeit muss vor Beginn der Durchfuehrungsphase ein Schema erstellt werden.
